Who is Admiral Care?

Admiral Care Services NI was started by Dawn Smyth Sargent, a veteran Care Worker, in 2012.  Having vast experience in the domiciliary care sector Dawn believed she could do things better, and Service Users deserved a better quality of service.  Starting with herself, her husband (both now Directors)  and a small team , working from home Admiral has continued its steady growth.

We have moved from a home office to our new, amazing  Central Offices in Carrickfergus, with integrated training suite and meeting facilities yet our core values have remained the same, Service Users are treated they way we would expect ourselves or family to be treated, Staff are recognised and valued for the integral role they play.

What’s different about us?

We were founded by a care worker, who knows how the system should work.  Our Directors still carry out runs and calls to ensure our practices are current whilst they remain involved and working within the team.

We pay a market leading wage, recognise your travel time is working time and cover your mileage expenses.  We offer a full and comprehensive training package, delivered face to face – not by video and have regular learning opportunities for personal and professional development.

We have a structured career path for staff, Richard Sargent our other Director has often said our carers are looking for jobs but Admiral offers careers.  Staff can work there way up through the company.

We offer support and supervision to all staff, regular face to face meetings with your line manager where you can discuss any areas you wish, including learning development, service user or similar – your opinions and feedback are valued and used.

Technology – we were quick to recognise the role technology can have in simplifying a care workers tasks.  We have advanced apps for our staff to use. Less time wasted on administration means more time focused on care.

Where do we work?

We cover the Newtownabbey, Greenisland, Carrickfergus, Larne, Carnlough and surrounding areas.  As we continue to grow these areas will widen out further.

What do we offer?

We pay from £8.50 per hour for Care Workers

As we pay by the hour your travel time is paid too!

We pay a mileage allowance for all your business travel

We’ll assist you in claiming additional allowances from HMRC annually.

We provide you with Free Uniforms.

We offer a full training package, including refreshers.

We will assist with your NISCC registration.
